I carved this unique heart in a piece of Buckeye burl wood.
2 3/4” tall, 1 3/4” wide, 3/8” thick
Buckeye burl is expensive wood, and it’s difficult to find. This piece is very blue, and the blue color is due to spalting. The blue that Buckeye burl takes on is very unique and beautiful.

I used hand tools to create this heart in a beautiful piece of Buckeye Burl wood. I finished this piece with several coats of polyurethane. A leather necklace is included!

Custom and personalized orders
Yes, I sometimes take custom orders :) Contact me and we can discuss the specifics.
I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.
I am also happy to make custom chainsaw carvings of about any animal or object you'd like.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
