55 1/2” long, 2” diameter... Beech hardwood
I carved this Morel, walking stick in a piece of Beech. I harvested the wood myself, allowed it to dry, and carved this mushroom into the stick using various rotary tools, knives and grinders. It is a very unique and realistic carving. I finished this carving with three coats of spray urethane. This is a very strong stick.
This stick will make a great gift for the mushroom lover in your life!

Yes, I sometimes take custom orders :) Contact me and we can discuss the specifics.
I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.
I am also happy to make custom chainsaw carvings of about any animal or object you'd like.
I know that, as a customer, you expect a certain level of control over the custom process and I, as an artist, expect a certain level of freedom. When we are able to meet in the middle, beautiful things can happen :)
Don't be afraid to message me :) Thanks so much!
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
