This is a functional, wood carving of an owl that can serve as a holder of many items. It can be used as a jewelry box, candy dish, or even hold the contents of your pockets at the end of the day.
5 1/2 pounds... 12" tall, 7" wide, 13" deep... There are 8 pictures total. Be sure to check out all of them!

I began this carving with a Pine log and a chainsaw. I shaped up the log until an owl started to appear. I created many nooks and hollows to allow for lots of storage all the way around the owl. I finished up using a few hand tools. This piece is sealed with 5 coats of spray polyurethane. The wood is completely dry, so it will last forever.
Everything in my shop is made by hand, by me, Josh. I don’t have any elves or helpers. When you buy from me, you are helping to support a family. We really appreciate it!

I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.
I am also happy to make custom chainsaw carvings of about any animal or object you'd like.
I know that, as a customer, you expect a certain level of control over the custom process and I, as an artist, expect a certain level of freedom. When we are able to meet in the middle, beautiful things can happen :)

My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
