This is a very odd, functional, wood carving :) It can be used as a jewelry box, candy dish, supply holder, etc. I made this carving in a piece of dry, White Pine. I dried the wood, so that it will last forever.

I made this carving using several different tools. I began with a raw block of White Pine. I shaped the Pine using a couple of different chainsaws. After the chainsaws, I moved on to grinders. After the grinders, I used small burrs to detail the piece. Once I had everything shaped to my desire, I sanded the entire carving, and then finished it with 5 coats of spray urethane. I added just a bit of thinned, oil paint to accentuate some of my cuts. This is a really fun piece!

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
