This is a wood carving of a wizard. I made this carving in a single piece of Pine wood. It is a fairly flat carving made to look dimensional. This is called “relief” carving. This piece can stand on its own, although it will be best to lean it against something, as the base isn’t very thick. Or, it can hang on the wall. I will include a hanger on the back, so it’s easy to hang.

This is a new style of carving for me. I began this carving with a chainsaw, and then worked my way down to smaller and smaller tools, which allowed for more and more detail. I finished the carving with polyurethane, oil and acrylic paint.
I carve everyday for a living :) It's what I love to do! Everything in my shop is made by hand, by me, Josh.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
