This is a wood carving of a wood spirit. It is a hand carved woodworking that makes a perfect birthday gift.
10" tall, 2 1/2" wide, 3" thick....
Wall hanging.....I signed and dated the back of this carving. I include a certificate with all of my wood spirit carvings that tells a bit about me and my process.
"Seductive Sinner".....
I created this sculpture in a spalted piece of driftwood. Spalted wood has a very unique appearance. It is spalted because of a particular type of fungus. No worries, the fungus is now completely inactive. It is tricky to carve spalted wood because of the lines and different densities of the wood. I enjoy the challenge :) There is a wood spirit hidden within every piece of wood that I find. My job is to release the spirits :)
I carve using rotary hand tools. Some of the detail bits that I use are as thin as needles. I add just a tad of oil paint to accentuate my cuts.

I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.
I am also happy to make custom chainsaw carvings of about any animal or object you'd like.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
