20 1/2” tall, 7” wide, 8 1/2” deep
I carved this Bald Eagle in a piece of White Pine. I used a chainsaw for all of the shaping and most of the refining. After the saw, I moved on to hand tools, grinders, and lots of sanding. I used acrylic paint and an air brush for the colors. This piece is finished with indoor/outdoor, spar polyurethane.

I made this Eagle in a section of Pine known as a “quarter round.” There is no heartwood, which eliminates/minimizes the possibility of any checking/cracking.

I really enjoy creating themed walking sticks such as Odin, Thor, Baron Samedi or many, many other possibilities. If you'd like a stick with bears, owls, or whatever else you might have in mind, just shoot me a message and we can discuss it.

Care instructions
My carvings can be cleaned using many different methods. A feather duster works nicely. Compressed air (duster or air compressor) also works well. If on a porch or indoors, my carvings will never need a new coat of sealer. Chainsaw carvings that are outdoors will need a fresh coat of sealer each year.
